Heather Noemi, DACM, Dipl. OM, L.Ac. is a California-licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, trauma-informed care practitioner, certified life coach, and level 2 Reiki practitioner. She holds a BBA from James Madison University and completed post-baccalaureate studies at UC Berkeley in cognitive neuropsychology. Dr. Noemi augmented positions in clinical research and drug development at UCSF, Genentech, and other biotechnology companies with studies in Chinese Medicine and herbology starting in 2006. She has since received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health & Science.
While completing her doctoral studies, she had the privilege of treating patients at the UC San Diego Health Center for Pain Medicine and supported the UCSD Sports Medicine department as an acupuncturist for the student athletes. Dr. Noemi also completed training in the Worsley 5-Element style of acupuncture, an approach that resolves systemic imbalances by releasing deeply-held trauma in the body. She regularly attends trainings and workshops on identifying and treating trauma held by experts in the field. In her spare time, Dr. Noemi applies her understanding of the effects of trauma and her compassionate nature to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs. She also enjoys paddleboarding and is an avid hiker with a goal of traversing every trail in Marin County.
